NHS & PRIVATE CHARGES
At present NHS patients pay in three bands for their dental treatment. These charges are fixed by the government. Normally charges are due when treatment starts so please be prepared to pay when asked to do so. For crowns and bridges you will be asked to pay for these at the preparation appointment. For dentures, which normally take 4 visits, you will be asked to complete payment by your third visit. If you are under 18, under 19 in full time education, an expectant mother or have a baby under a year old, receive income support, income-based jobseeker’s allowance, tax credit or pension credit guarantee credit you will not have to pay. Please bring proof of your exemption at the commencement of each course of treatment. If you are on a low income we can give you a form to try and claim partial exemption.
Both NHS and private treatment are available. The dentists are experienced in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry however, due to the constraints of the NHS, this usually has to be provided on a private basis.
